We run jazz gigs at HEART on a fairly regular basis.

Jazz Jam
We host Jazz Jam Sessions at Heart from 7-9pm on the 3rd Monday of every month.
Join us in the Assembly Bar and Kitchen, Bennett Road LS6 3HN.
Refujazz
Every Year for the last 9 years we have organised a day of jazz and fundraising for Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Leeds, including an online one in 2021. This year we are excited to announce both live and online recorded events.
Summer Schools
The first jazz-at-heart Summer School took place over four days in August 2011 – led by Matt Roberts. It was a great success, introducing a range of instrumentalists (on violin, flute, trumpet, guitar, piano – and recorder!) to some of the delights of jazz improvisation. The final evening took the form of a jam session/gig in the café at HEART and there were a good number of regular participants who came and played or listened as well as the summer school participants.
We have continued to run the Summer Schools almost every year since with the same formula. In recent years Matt Roberts and Matt Anderson, another great friend of Jazz at Heart, have shared the teaching.
